Katz JCC Unveils Renovated Family Locker Rooms Made Possible by Donation from Carolyn and Mitchell Davis

The Milton & Betty Katz JCC is proud to formally unveil the newly renovated and designated Family Locker Rooms thanks to a generous donation from Carolyn and Mitchell Davis.  The ribbon cutting will take place Friday, October 2 at 3:00pm at the Katz JCC, 501 N. Jerome Ave., Margate.

The locker rooms, located just off the indoor pool area of the community center, received a complete remodel to incorporate over 160 new lockers in both locker areas that our camp program, swim team and swim lesson families will find most accommodating. Along with the additional locker space there are new restroom stalls, beautiful new showers, lighting and epoxy nonslip floors.

“This past early spring, during the darker days of COVID-19, our building was closed and this continued for over two months. The days were made easier to come in while the wonderful renovation was taking place. Carolyn and Mitchell Davis provided us with the hope that brighter days were to follow and our families would be surprised and excited to see this change when they returned,” said Marg Rosenblatt, JCC CEO.

The locker room space will be dedicated to members with children and those children participating in swim team, swim lessons, and camp during specified hours. The family locker rooms will help create a safe and enjoyable environment for young families participating in the JCC’s various programs.
