Jewish Family Service (JFS) and The Katz JCC is proud to announce their fifth Golf Tournament, Thursday, June 28 at Linwood Country Club, now under the same ownership as Dock’s Oyster House and the Knife & Fork.
“Hosting community events like the JFS Vs JCC Golf Tournament allows us to connect with members of the local community and support organizations that do so much for so many,” said Maureen Shay, Owner of Linwood Country Club. Established in 1920, Linwood Country club has been the site of families’ most treasured events for nearly a century and has recently been enhanced by tasteful renovations to the clubhouse and ballroom.
With JFS leading three wins to one, the JCC is hoping to gain some momentum and begin to catch up by claiming this year’s winner’s trophy. This men’s and women’s competition style tournament will bring the community together for a great day of golf, contests, prizes and more.
The agencies are excited to announce new co-chairs this year. Brett Balsley will serve as JFS event co-chair, while David Schultz will serve as the JCC co-chair. Featuring specialty on-course contests, activities such as food and liquor tastings, and more, the golf committee plans to welcome back elements that participants enjoyed plus add new and exciting aspects to the tournament.
With the community’s support, Jewish Family Service and the Katz JCC have a fundraising goal of $60,000 to be met through this year’s Golf Tournament. The funds raised will help JFS and the Katz JCC further their mission to provide the children and seniors of Atlantic County, as well as the community as a whole, programs and services that enhance and enrich their lives.
Tickets are $225 per golfer and sponsorship opportunities are available. For questions or to get involved with the committee, please contact Melissa Vola at 609-822-1167 x 159 or mvola@jccatlantic.org. To purchase tickets or sponsorships, please click here.
