J-Voyage Teen Tours Press Release

THE JOURNEY IS THE DESTINATION
INTRODUCING J-VOYAGE TEEN TOURS

Margate, NJ (December 12, 2017) – J-Voyage, the JCC’s Teen Travel Camp formerly known as “JCC Road Rulz,” has taken hundreds of teenagers on adventures across the country and internationally for over a decade.  This summer, teenagers ages 12-16 will embark on two epic journeys across America and Canada. Campers will travel by charter bus and plane to explore great locations while creating lifelong memories and seeing some of the best state parks, cities and locales each region has to offer. Every destination visited will have something unique to teach our young travelers.  Immersing in a completely different environment is the best learning experience one can have. J Voyage allows teenagers to discover new customs, cultures and places while making new friendships and memories along the way.  As an added bonus, we will stay in a variety of different JCCs and six different University dormitories, showing teens the big world of college life.

The first excursion, Northern Exposure, operates from June 26 – July 5, 2018 (10 days/9 nights). The trip begins with a fun-filled day at Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom in PA before venturing to the biggest “water park” in the Northeast – Niagara Falls!   The bus then travels north to explore the best of Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal.  We will embark on many unique experiences including a bike tour of Ottawa, exploring a real castle at Casa Loma, view Toronto City from the enormous CN Tower and arrive at Montreal for Canada Day on July 1st.  Other amazing activities planned include an interactive dinner at Medieval Times, a ‘Dining in the Dark’ experience at O’Noir and a Surf and Turf restaurant with a real tidal surf pool and  a Ghost Tour of Montreal’s Old City!  The group will cross over the border just in time to explore the best of Boston, hike the Freedom Trail and witness the fireworks display on July 4th.  The trip concludes with a trip to the Statue of Liberty before returning back to South Jersey.   A valid US passport is required for this epic adventure.

The second excursion focuses on the major National Treasures and State Parks throughout the Southwest. It runs from July 17 – August 2, 2018 (17 days/16 nights) and campers will stay in a variety of KOA cabins and college campuses such as University of Denver, University of Albuquerque and University of Salt Lake City.  The group will experience Boulder’s Pearl Street, Rocky Mountain National Park, Casa Bonita, Red Rocks Amphitheatre and El Dorado Canyon.  The tour continues with a weekend in New Mexico with a tramcar ride hovering thousands of feet in the air over Sandia Peak, a special day in Santa Fe to shop at the Sunday Indian Market and a private tour of the Georgia O’Keefe Museum, located in a refurbished adobe style house. The journey continues with a stop at the infamous four corners, a spot where teens can be in four states at once; New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and Utah.  Two nights at the ultimate national treasure, The Grand Canyon is next on the itinerary, followed by other state parks including Zion National Park, The Grand Teton State Park and Antelope State Park near Salt Lake City, Utah.    After hitting the highlights of Salt Lake City, the trip continues for the grand finale: three nights at Yellowstone National Park taking with the amazing colors, geysers and wildlife before ending the trip at Mount Rushmore.

This exciting J-Voyage Trip will undoubtedly sell out very soon, as spaces are very limited.   To find out more or to receive a full itinerary, contact Program Director, Josh Cutler at 609-822-1167 x 138 or email jcutler@jccatlantic.org.
