With over 85 classes per week, we have something for everyone. Classes include but are not limited to Tai Chi, Chi Kung, Meditation, Pumpin' Iron, Piloxing, Yoga, Pilates, indoor cycling, Zumba, Aquasize classes, step n sculpt, boot camp, ballet barre, kettle bells, fitness fusion and so much more! CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Ballet TONE - All the fitness benefits of ballet without a formal dance class. Work is done mostly on the ‘barre’ to tone, strengthen and improve flexibility. Suited for everyone!
BOOT CAMP –BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! Drill Master Greg is at it again. Push-ups, jumping jacks, weights. Everything you would expect in a Boot Camp class and more! As always, modifications are offered. Suited for everyone.
Chi Kung - This system uses slow, gentle movements, mental concentration and physical relaxation to enhance overall wellness. The goal is to work with life force (chi or qi) within and around us, to harmonize the mind and body to increase health and prevent illness. Benefits include better balance, reduced stress, lower blood pressure, relief from joint discomfort, improve respiration, circulation and digestion. Suited for everyone.
Circuit training –This class will target strength building and muscular endurance. When one circuit is complete, another one begins. Time between exercises in circuit training is short, often with rapid movement to the next exercise. Modifications will be offered. Suited for everyone.
CORE CAMP – (By ‘A-Train’) Tone and strengthen your core by leveraging your body. Sweat like never before. Suited for everyone.
Extreme Circuit - Have you been training for a while? You may well have a higher than average level of fitness, but are you pushing yourself to the limit? Determine how fit you really are. Even if you’re new to fitness and are looking to get out of your comfort zone, this class is for you. Start and end here! Suited for everyone.
Fitness Fusion – A great strength training and body conditioning class. Suited for everyone.
Indoor Cycling (aka.“Spinning”) - Burn between 400-700 calories as you’re visually guided through hills, flats and any other terrain that a bike can get to. INTENSE CARDIO. Beginners are welcome! Suited for everyone.
Kick It – Rhythmic large muscle exercises for improved muscle endurance, flexibility and mobility. Even if you are a beginner, modified moves are introduced. Suited for everyone.
Lite Combo - This class includes low impact conditioning and resistance using weights, bands and tubing.
Meditation - Utilize techniques designed to promote relaxation, build internal energy (chi, ki, prana, etc.), develop compassion, love, patience, generosity and forgiveness. It may be done sitting or in an active way – whatever you choose. Suited for everyone.
MoveIT SERIES* – (*formerly “Seniorsize” / “Senior Movement”) – name change only.
MoveIT1* - seated chair workout designed for anyone seeking to improve strength, flexibility & joint mobility
MoveIT2* - A great cardio workout emphasizing fun and fabulous music...designed for anyone seeking to improve balance, cardiovascular strength, flexibility and joint mobility. Suited for everyone.
Piloxing – This fun workout uniquely mixes Pilates and boxing into a fat torching and muscle sculpting guaranteed to whip you into shape. Experience the transformation as you attain a slick, sexy and powerful self-image. Suited for all and guaranteed to ‘hook’ you right in!
Pilates – Focus on breathing, posture and body alignment. Enhance muscle control and core stability. Get rid of that back pain by strengthening that core. Suited for everyone.
Pumpin’ IRON– Stave off osteoporosis and increase bone density. Resistance training workout with focus on low weight loads and high repetition movements. Burn fat, gain strength and quickly produce lean body muscle conditioning all with using a barbell. Suited for everyone. Come and check out all of your favorite JCC instructors.
Resist-A-Ball – An ‘old school’ classic that never goes out of style! Stretch and tone muscles you never knew you had. Hit all your muscles hard – especially your core. Modifications offered and beginners are welcome. Suited for everyone.
Step ‘N Sculpt - Another ‘old school’ classic that never goes out of style. Remember when ‘around the world’ didn’t mean a vacation? Sculpting and ab workout included. Suited for everyone.
T’AI CHI – Wu (Tues/Thurs) and Yang (Saturday) styles. Slow series of choreographed movements emphasizing deep breathing and relaxation rather than physical, strength, making it suitable for everyone regardless of age, size or physical condition. The primary benefits will be stress reduction and management and overall wellness.
TRIPLE Threat – Combines intervals of strength, cardio and core moves to firm those trouble zones. Suited for everyone.
Yoga – Using meditation, creative movement to promote balance, strength, flexibility and relaxation through various postures and breathing techniques. Suited for everyone.
Yogilates – Fusion of Yoga and Pilates. Suited for everyone.
Zumba – Fun Latin-based cardio work out. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Suited for everyone.
