June 2016

With our 2015-2016 school year coming to a close, I look back over the year with so many fond memories – Our first Shabbat of the school year, the field trip to Victory Farms with our three- and four- year-old classes, and our Thanksgiving feast, just to name a few of our fun-filled experiences and activities. One of my favorite memories is our annual school-wide Pajama Day. We all look forward to coming to school and work in our pajamas and eating pancakes for snack!

With the warm weather finally upon us allowing us more outdoor time, I would like to remind everyone that sneakers and socks are a must on the playground. If your child insists on wearing those new sandals to school, please pack their sneakers and socks so we can change them for playground time.

We are happy and proud to inform you that we met our goal for the St. Jude Trike-A-Thon. We raised $1,700! Many thanks to all who contributed.

Our last day of school is Friday, June 17. And our Four-Year-Old Graduation in Thursday, June 16 at 6:00 pm.

For all children attending Camp By The Sea there is an interim week and those forms will be available the week of June 6. We will be open for our two-, three- and four-year-old classes on Monday, June 20; Tuesday, June 21; and Wednesday, June 22. For those classes, we are closed on Thursday, June 23 and Friday, June 24. However, please note our Infant & Toddler Program is year-round and there will be care for those age groups, Monday, June 20 through Friday, June 24.

Camp By The Sea Open House is Friday, June 24 from 3:00-4:00 pm.

Thank you for a wonderful year and for being part of our early childhood family.

Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened. – Dr. Seuss

May 2016

Dear Early Childhood Families,

Wow, here we are in May already, and we had so much fun in April. We had such a great time at the PJ Library Passover event. The children’s performances were enjoyed by all who attended! Many thanks to our teachers for their creativity with the classroom songs and props. Making matzo at Chabad is always so much fun but not to be outdone by our Passover experience this past Friday.

We look forward to May as we start the month with our Teacher Appreciation Celebration. The second week of May (May 9-13) we will have our annual Bike Safety Week with the culmination of the week on Friday when we host our St. Jude’s Trike-A-Thon. Volunteers are always welcome (and helpful). Last but not least, on Wednesday, May 18 our Three-Year-Old classes will venture to the Atlantic City Aquarium while our Four-Year-Old classes will visit the Cape May County Zoo resident animals.

This is such a great busy time of year! Happy May!

Sincerely,

Jan
