Come to the JCC for great Mahjong Brunches this Fall and Winter. Enjoy a huge feast of bagels, lox and many delicious spreads and salads! Mahjong Brunches are a great time to schmooze with other players and have the opportunity to win fantastic raffle prizes! Mahjong Brunches begin at 10:30 AM. Spaces are limited.

Computer Classes

Beginning in October the Milton & Betty Katz JCC will continue to offer active adults (60 and over) free computer classes beginning in October. Classes will be held every Tuesday & Thursday, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM from October 7 – November 20. Classes cover a wide variety of computer applications for everyday use. Classes are hands-on and will emphasize a variety of topics including: Computer Fundamentals (mouse and keyboard skills), the Internet, Microsoft Windows, Email and much more! Space is LIMITED, so be sure to register today. These classes are free and open to the community.

Falafel & Film
Oct 22 @ 5:30 pm

This Fall, Katz JCC will host another fantastic Falafel & Film program –consisting of an evening of food, fun and new Israeli films to celebrate the variety and ‘spice’ seen in today’s Israeli Culture and cinema. Attendees will enjoy a delicious kosher falafel meal complete with humus, tahini and Israel salad followed by two short films from Jerusalem’s Ma’aleh Film School that will highlight current events and issues in modern day Israel.

Mahjong Classes for Beginners

Rinata Salzman, Margate’s Mahjong maven, teaches this introductory class. She explains the tiles, the basic moves and the strategies to win! No mahjong experience or knowledge is required and a practice mahjong set is provided for the duration of this six week class.

Dinner & Movie
Oct 28 @ 5:00 pm

 

Dinner & Movie events include a full course meal consisting of salad, soup, entrée and dessert. Dinner begins at 5:00 PM and is followed by an entertaining movie on the big screen. Dietary laws are observed. Reservations should be made at least one week in advance and paid for either in person or by phone with a credit card.
